Project Description
I’m building a small capsule of casual menswear and need a designer who can translate traditional batik motifs and classic kurta silhouettes into fresh, everyday pieces. The goal is a line that feels relaxed and modern while staying true to the cultural roots of each garment.
You will take the project from concept through to factory-ready files. That means mood-board refinement, hand or digital sketches, colour and motif development for the batik prints, detailed flat drawings, size-specs, and full tech packs with fabric suggestions. Patterns or pattern blocks that align with standard men’s sizing are a plus, and experience working with lightweight cottons or blends typically used in batik and kurta construction will help everything move faster.
I’ll provide my brand guidelines, target price points, and reference images once we start. We can review each stage on a shared drive and schedule quick video check-ins to keep decisions flowing.
Deliverables
• 2–3 complete batik shirt designs
• 2–3 complete kurta designs
• Print/pattern files (repeat-ready)
• Tech packs with measurements, trims, and fabrication notes
• Optional: graded patterns in PDF or DXF
Final files must be clear enough for sampling and small-batch production. If you’ve created similar menswear pieces before, please add that to your proposal and include portfolio links that showcase casual wear, especially any batik or kurta work.
