Project Description
I need a developer who can build a production-ready mobile application that offers BOTH live video streaming and real-time voice chat in a single, seamless experience. The app must run natively on iOS and Android and keep latency low enough for truly interactive broadcasts.
I haven’t locked myself into a specific third-party SDK yet, so you’re free to recommend the stack you’re most confident will deliver smooth live video, crystal-clear voice, and easy scalability—whether that’s ZEGO, Agora, or another engine entirely. All I care about is reliability, moderation tools, and the ability to upgrade capacity quickly as the user base grows.
Key deliverables
• Full source code for iOS and Android (Swift/Obj-C or Kotlin/Java/Flutter/React Native—open to the approach you propose)
• Back-end setup for stream management, user auth, and basic analytics
• In-app UX for going live, joining streams, switching to audio-only, and simple real-time chat or emoji reactions
• Admin console or dashboard to monitor ongoing streams and perform basic moderation actions
• Clear documentation so future developers—or I—can extend the feature set
Acceptance criteria
• End-to-end test: two devices, one broadcaster and one viewer, with under-5-second glass-to-glass latency and uninterrupted audio
• Builds pass App Store and Google Play submission checks
• Code is clean, commented, and runs without external dependencies beyond the chosen streaming SDK
If this sounds like your wheelhouse, tell me which tech stack you’d use and how long you’ll need for a functional MVP.
