Project Description
I’m refreshing the emblem that sits beside our freshwater research organization’s name. The lettering and its current font will remain untouched; what I’m after is a brand-new, modern, minimalist image that can live comfortably to the left of the existing text (and scale well for social media, print, and embroidery).
Key creative notes
• Style: clean, modern, minimalist—no gradients or heavy detailing.
• Imagery: weave in water waves or droplets and a subtle nod to plant life; no fish or other animals.
• Palette: complementary colors that feel fresh and science-oriented while remaining print-friendly.
Deliverable
1. Vector artwork (AI/SVG) plus high-resolution PNG with transparent background.
2. A quick mock-up showing how the new image aligns with the current wordmark, both horizontal and stacked.
3. Color codes and a one-line sizing guide so our in-house team can deploy it consistently.
Acceptance criteria
✔ Clearly legible at 25 mm width.
✔ Looks balanced when paired with existing typography.
✔ Passes a single-color test without losing its identity.
