Project Description
I’m finishing a Hip Hop album, I need a skilled engineer to take the raw multitracks the rest of the way. All sessions are cleaned, edited, and ready for professional work; what I’m missing is that polished, cohesive sound only expert mixing and mastering can deliver.
Scope
• Both mixing and mastering are required, with an ear for warm mids, punchy drums, and tight low-end that still feels organic—think early-90s New York grit but loudness-matched for today’s streaming platforms.
• I’m supplying 24-bit WAV stems plus a rough demo mix for reference. Sessions were tracked in Pro Tools, but I can export AAF or consolidated stems if you prefer Logic, Cubase, Ableton, or another DAW.
• Turnaround is ASAP. A quick first pass on one song will help lock in the sonic direction; once approved, you can roll through the remaining tracks.
Deliverables (all WAV)
1. Final stereo mix for each song (24-bit/44.1 kHz).
2. Mastered version ready for Spotify, Apple Music, and CD (16-bit & 24-bit).
3. Optional instrumental or performance versions if already rendered during the mix stage.
4. Brief recall window for minor tweaks after I review.
Acceptance criteria
• Balanced frequency spectrum with no harshness or mud.
• Clear vocal presence above the groove.
• Competitive loudness while preserving dynamic punch.
• No clipping or artifacts on streaming loudness meters (-14 LUFS reference).
If Classic Boom Bap is your comfort zone and you can move fast, let’s talk so I can send the first set of stems right away.
