Project Description
I am looking for someone for help building an automated schedule generator.
The shift generator should be user centric and is likely to require the following requirements from the user:
- staff ID (may require security)
- staff qualification/training
- How many staff with the respective training/qualification required per shift
- Consider equity, defined by user, for each staff to rotate between day and night shifts, rest days and training days
- Consider hours clocked per staff - to fulfill minimum hours, adjust hours within specified limitations etc. while considering equity as mentioned above
- Export to excel such that the user is able to modify manually
- Allow user to insert previous schedule so that the generator will consider past roster to generate the new one.
- Track sick leaves, training days, leave days.
- This generator should be local, therefore it has to be on a platform that we can ship to the user, and provide help or updates to their generator when and if they require
This initial project will be less complicated and will not require all of the above conditions. The list is just to give you an idea what the final product would look like in its ideal state.
Strict requirements for this project:
- I need this to be Excel native as much as possible, VBA included
- I need you to document your process on how you developed each feature. You will need to meet me regularly on how you’ve built certain features, and I should be able to re-create it. In a way, you’ll be my tutor too.
We are looking for someone experienced, reliable, willing to try new things, willing to work on what may seem impossible, quick turn around, timely and communicative.
