I already pull data from Tally into Power BI through the ODBC connector and have basic dashboards running. What I now need is a specialist who can deepen that integration and layer robust inventory automation on top—both inside Power BI and in an Excel workbook that refreshes itself.
Here is what the job entails:
• Clean up and optimise the existing ODBC queries so they refresh quickly and capture only the incremental changes coming from Tally.
• Extend the current Power BI data model with inventory-focused measures (e.g., ageing, average holding days, valuation by batch) and create clear visuals for management.
• Build an Excel solution—using Power Query, DAX where appropriate, and VBA only if necessary—that connects directly to the same Tally tables and auto-generates daily stock tracking and variance reports with zero manual export steps.
• Ensure that numbers match across Tally, Power BI, and the automated Excel file at every refresh, and that refresh time stays within an agreed threshold.
• Provide concise documentation so future users can maintain and adjust the setup.
