Project Description
I am setting up a small-package courier service that must operate both locally and across selected continents. The core need is a complete logistics plan that lets me collect, sort, and deliver parcels efficiently while meeting international shipping regulations.
Key objectives
• Design the end-to-end workflow for local pickup and last-mile delivery.
• Map international routes and partner relationships covering the specific continents I will target, including customs handling and transit times.
• Recommend reliable tracking, labeling, and parcel management tools that scale as volume grows.
• Outline service levels (standard, express) with clear pricing logic and cutoff times.
• Provide a compliance checklist for packaging, dangerous-goods exclusions, and required documentation when exporting.
Acceptance criteria
• A concise operations manual (PDF or Google Docs) detailing every step from customer drop-off to final delivery.
• Route matrix and carrier partnership list, including contact info or onboarding steps.
• Cost model spreadsheet showing per-package cost assumptions and margin targets.
• Basic SLA template I can share with future customers.
If you already manage or have set up multi-continent courier networks—especially for small packages—your insights will be invaluable.
