Project Description
I have a dense point-cloud that was captured with a 3D scanner and now need it turned into a clean, fully-parametric model inside Autodesk Inventor. The task is strictly 3D modelling—no inspection reports or 2D drawings—so your focus will be on importing the cloud, registering or trimming it where necessary, and building a faithful Inventor part or assembly that I can edit later.
You may use Recap or any other pre-processing tool you prefer, but the final deliverable must open natively in Inventor with sensible feature trees, correct dimensions and clean surfaces. Please keep tolerances tight enough that the model reflects the scan within normal manufacturing limits.
Deliverables:
• Inventor (.ipt/.iam) file(s) representing the scanned object
• Any reference coordinate system or alignment notes used during the build
I’ll share the .rcp/.rcs files via a cloud link once we start. Let me know your experience with Inventor’s point-cloud workflows and an estimated turnaround time.
