Python .NET Excel C# Programming SQLite VB.NET Data Analysis Database Management
Need a small windows desktop app having local database or basic excel template sheet for maintaining machine production data in a textile factory. The app should allow user to enter required data , then store and display the data to the user in required format . It should also allow user to analyze the data using various filter options and other important tools .. I need a lightweight Windows desktop application that lets our textile-mill supervisors record and review everything happening on each machine in a single place. The program may rely on either a bundled local database (SQLite, SQL CE, etc.) or an Excel-based template—whichever you feel delivers faster performance without adding server overhead. Core data to capture • Production output: quantity produced, production date, machine ID and a few extra numeric or text fields I can rename later. • Worker-related information such as the shift, operator name or team ID. • Machine and design details so we can trace which fabric style ran on which loom. Workflow I expect The operator opens the form, types the figures, hits save and instantly sees the entry in a searchable grid. Basic filters (date range, machine, shift, design) must run offline and feel snappy even with thousands of rows. Analysis requirement Inside the same interface I want quick-fire pivot tables so supervisors can slice totals by date, machine or shift and export the result to Excel. If your chosen toolkit already supports charts or statistical summaries, that is a welcome bonus, but the pivot view is the must-have. Deliverables 1. Stand-alone installer or portable EXE. 2. Source code in C#, VB.NET, Python with Tkinter, or another mainstream Windows stack that my in-house IT can maintain. 3. A short PDF or markdown guide explaining setup, field definitions and how to refresh or back up the data file. Please let me know which framework you prefer and an estimated timeline for a first working build; I plan to test on Windows 10 and 11.
