Project Description
I’m launching a dedicated live-broadcast news channel and need a complete studio design that is production-ready from day one. The space must function seamlessly for continuous live programming, so the layout, set elements, and technical flow all have to be locked down before construction begins.
Core requirements
• It is a news studio built specifically for live broadcasts.
• The design must include a chroma-key (green screen) zone, tiered seating for a small in-studio audience, and clear sightlines for multiple camera setups (fixed, pedestal, and jib).
What I expect from you
1. Concept sketches that show the overall visual style and anchor desk placement.
2. Scaled floor plans detailing camera positions, audience risers, lighting grid, control-room sightline, cable troughs, and talent walk-ons.
3. 3D renders (SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar) illustrating set pieces, video walls, and the chroma-key corner under realistic lighting.
4. Lighting plot with fixture types, amperage loads, and rigging points.
5. Acoustic treatment plan and materials list to keep live sound tight and clean.
6. Bill of quantities for set construction, furniture, and AV infrastructure so I can hand it straight to my builders.
7. A brief workflow document showing how cameras, audio, graphics, and the control room interconnect for live output.
Acceptance criteria
• All drawings must be exportable to DWG/PDF.
• 3D visuals need to match physical dimensions within ±2 cm.
• Technical specs must comply with SMPTE broadcast standards.
If your portfolio already includes live news environments with chroma-key integration, you are exactly who I want to work with. Let’s create a studio that looks great on air and performs flawlessly behind the scenes.
