I’m building a cross-platform mobile app that lets learners see, at a glance, how the units they have already completed stack up against the requirements of another Australian qualification. The data source for every qualification, its unit points and section-based rules is training.gov.au, so the app needs to pull (or cache) that information in real time or via regular sync. Core workflow 1. The user signs up or logs in with a simple email-and-password flow. 2. They bring in their completed-unit history either by: • automatic import straight from the USI transcript service, or • manual upload of the PDF/JSON file the USI site provides. 3. The app analyses each unit, matches it to training.gov.au codes, applies the qualification’s point structure / elective-core rules, then shows: • points earned vs. points still required, • which sections are already satisfied, and • specific unit gaps the learner must fill. Key requirements • Native-like experience on both iOS and Android using a single codebase (Flutter, React Native or similar—open to your recommendation). • Clean, responsive UI that can handle long unit lists gracefully. • Secure storage of user data on device and in the cloud (my preference is Firebase but I’m flexible). • A lightweight admin panel or script so I can refresh qualification data if training.gov.au changes its format. • Proper error handling for mismatched or outdated unit codes. Acceptance criteria ✓ Email/password authentication works and persists sessions. ✓ USI transcript can be imported automatically (via available APIs) or accepted as a manual upload; both paths populate the user’s unit list. ✓ Comparison calculations reflect the official point rules published on training.gov.au. ✓ On-screen summary clearly tells the learner “X points / Y units remaining” and highlights missing units. ✓ App passes review on both App Store and Google Play. If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let me know which tech stack you’d use and any similar projects you’ve shipped.
