I run an e-commerce operation that lives inside Google Sheets. Right now a lot of our team’s day disappears into copy-and-paste routines, manual report building and reminder emails. I have already started using Gemini to draft Google Apps Script snippets, but I need a dependable programmer who can turn those rough ideas into production-ready automation and keep improving them over time.
Here are the three areas the first wave of scripts must cover:
• Data entry & updating – pull new orders in, cleanse SKUs, push inventory counts back out.
• Generating reports – compile daily sales, margin and stock-level dashboards.
• Sending emails & notifications – automatic alerts to suppliers, customers and our internal Slack/Gmail channels.
Because the sheet is touched constantly, some triggers have to run in real time (on-edit / on-form-submit) while others can be scheduled for end-of-day batches. All code should be modular, well-commented and stored in our shared Drive with version history intact so I can review changes easily.
The engagement is ongoing. As new workflows appear—returns handling, catalog updates, cross-channel syncing—I’ll loop you in to scope and script them. If you’re comfortable with Google Apps Script, the various Google APIs, and general JavaScript best practices, I’d like to start with a small task and then move to a retainer-style arrangement.
