Project Description
I run a small eight-member agri-input startup in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. All our seed, fertiliser and pesticide stocks sit in one warehouse, but our customers are scattered across farms throughout Solan and neighbouring districts. I now need a complete, ground-up delivery system that lets us move orders quickly and affordably from that single hub straight to each farm gate.
The plan must revolve around vans, as those are the vehicles we intend to deploy. I’m looking for a practical, step-by-step blueprint we can put into action within a month, covering everything from routing logic to loading bays. It must be lean enough for our current size yet expandable as volumes grow.
Deliverables
• Optimised route and territory map that clusters farms logically for daily van runs
• Fleet sizing and cost model, including driver shifts, fuel and maintenance forecasts
• Warehouse picking, staging and van-loading workflow tailored to agri-input SKUs
• Standard operating procedures for order capture, dispatch, proof-of-delivery and returns
• KPI dashboard template tracking on-time rate, stock accuracy and cost per drop
• Recommendations for affordable routing or field-tracking apps that fit a startup budget
Acceptance will be based on a simulated one-week schedule achieving at least 95 % on-time deliveries in the model. If this sounds like your kind of logistics challenge, I’d love to get started right away.
