Project Description
I’m planning to launch a peer-to-peer marketplace inspired by OLX and Vendora, focused strictly on buying and selling items. The platform must let users post listings, browse with powerful search & filters, negotiate through an in-app chat, and close the deal safely with an integrated payment flow and basic escrow logic.
The catalogue will initially cover:
• Electronics and gadgets
• Clothing and accessories
• Home and furniture
To keep onboarding friction-free while still secure, I need three sign-in options:
• Classic email & password
• One-click social media login
• Phone number verification with OTP
Core expectations
– Seller dashboard for managing ads, pricing, boosts, and analytics.
– Buyer dashboard with wish-lists, saved searches, and order history.
– Moderation and admin panel to approve, flag, or remove listings and handle user reports.
– Clean UI following modern marketplace patterns; Figma or similar design hand-off required.
Acceptance criteria
1. A user can register using any of the three authentication methods and verify the account.
2. A seller can create, edit, and publish a listing in any of the three categories, including images and price.
3. A buyer can search, filter, and message the seller inside the platform.
4. Transactions complete end-to-end in a sandbox payment environment.
5. Admin can suspend a problematic listing and view audit logs.
Please outline your proposed tech stack, approach to security (GDPR-ready), and a realistic timeline to deliver an MVP. I’m ready to start as soon as we align on scope and milestones.
