Project Description
I need a clear, well-structured descriptive analysis of our sales data so I can understand past performance at a glance and spot trends worth sharing with management. My primary focus is straightforward data analysis rather than process redesign or MIS build-outs, so please keep the scope tight: clean the dataset, explore it, then present the key metrics and insights.
Your work should:
• Prepare and validate the raw sales tables (handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistent formats).
• Produce summary statistics and visualisations that highlight overall revenue, unit volumes, regional or product-level breakdowns, seasonality and any notable shifts.
• Deliver an executive-ready report (Power BI, Tableau, or a polished Excel workbook) that I can reuse for monthly updates, along with the underlying, well-commented code or query logic (Python, R, SQL—your choice).
I will supply the data as soon as we start and will be available to clarify field meanings or business context. The final deliverable is accepted once the numbers reconcile with our source files and the narrative is easy for non-technical stakeholders to follow.
