Project Description
I’m ready to move forward with a brand-new Keystone segmental retaining wall that will provide structural support for an existing slope on my property. I need a qualified civil/structural engineer who can take the site information I’ll supply (survey, soil report, photographs, and any local code references) and turn it into a complete, permit-ready package.
The job centers on producing all engineering calculations—gravity and reinforced sections as required, geogrid lengths, bearing capacity, sliding, overturning, drainage, and global stability—as well as clear construction drawings that a contractor can build from without guesswork. Please incorporate standard Keystone block data, local surcharge loads, drainage stone, pipe outlet locations, and any geo-grid reinforcement layouts needed for the wall height. You’re free to suggest alternative grid lengths or block units if they improve efficiency while staying within Keystone’s catalog.
Deliverables
• Signed PDF of full structural calculations (all limit states, safety factors shown)
• Plan, elevation, and section drawings in PDF and editable CAD (DWG/DXF)
• Material and reinforcement schedule, including grid type and spacing
• Drainage details and notes that satisfy code and manufacturer guidelines
• Brief design summary explaining key assumptions for city review
Acceptance criteria: calculations must demonstrate the wall meets or exceeds required factors of safety for sliding, overturning, bearing, and global stability; drawings must be dimensioned, legible, and coordinated with the calcs; and the package must be sufficient for permit submission without additional engineering revisions.
