JOB TITLE: Word Document Template Designer — Branded Report Templates

We are TradeMatch Pro Ltd, a UK-based export intelligence business. We produce bespoke analyst-grade Export Intelligence Reports for SME exporters worldwide. We have seven report types (R1 through R7), each delivered as a Word document (.docx).
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Word template designer to redesign our existing report templates into a professional, branded, production-ready master template. This is a one-off job. Once approved, the template becomes our permanent production base for all seven reports.

WHAT WE NEED — one master .dotx template containing:
COVER PAGE
• Full-page navy branded cover
• Logo prominently placed
• Report title and subtitle placeholders
• Confidentiality statement and company website URL at foot
PAGE HEADER (all pages after cover)
• Narrow branded bar — navy or teal
• Logo left, report title right
PAGE FOOTER (all pages after cover)
• Page number, confidentiality notice, website URL
PARAGRAPH AND HEADING STYLES
• Heading 1 — navy, bold, teal underline rule
• Heading 2 — teal, bold
• Heading 3 — dark grey, bold
• Body text — Arial 11pt, 1.15 line spacing
• Bullet and numbered list styles
CALL-OUT BOXES (as named Word styles)
• Verdict box — colour-coded green / amber / red
• Key finding box — teal background
• Warning / flag box — orange background
• Caution box — amber background
SCORING TABLE
• 6-row table, columns: Dimension | Score (1–10) | Commentary
• Navy header row, alternating light teal / white rows
• Composite score row at foot, visually distinct
SECTION DIVIDER
• Full-width branded rule between major sections

DELIVERABLES:
1. Master .dotx template file with all styles fully designed
2. The R1 sample report restyled using your new template
3. One-page style guide listing all style names and when to use them
4. Up to two rounds of revision

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Compatible with Microsoft Word 2016 and above
• No macros, no VBA, no external dependencies
• All hex colour values must match exactly
• Must render correctly on Windows and Mac

HOW WE WILL SELECT — TWO STAGES:
Stage 1: We review proposals and shortlist 2–3 candidates based on experience, examples, and written response to the sample report question below.
Stage 2: Each shortlisted candidate will be asked to redesign the cover page only as a small paid test. We pay a fair fixed fee for this. We then appoint the best result.
You will not be asked to do speculative unpaid work.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL:
1. Confirm experience designing professional Word templates with custom styles, headers, footers, and branded cover pages
2. Share one or two examples of previous Word template work — screenshots or links are fine
3. Confirm you can work to a specific colour palette and brand specification
4. Review the sample report and tell us three specific things you would change or improve about the current design
5. State your quoted fixed price
6. State your estimated turnaround time
