Project Description
We are looking for an experienced app/software developer to build a simple and user-friendly quoting and measurement system for our blinds, curtains and window furnishing business.
The software/app should allow our team to take customer measurements onsite, create quotes, store all customer/job details in one central location, and generate professional PDF quotes.
Main Requirements:
Customer Management
Add customer name, phone, email and address
Store customer notes and job status
Search and view previous customers/jobs
Measurement Entry
Add multiple rooms and windows per customer
Enter width, drop/height, quantity and notes
Select fitting type: reveal fit or face fit
Upload photos for each window/room
Add product-specific notes
Product Selection
Roller blinds
Curtains
Sheer curtains
Blockout curtains
Vertical blinds
Venetian blinds
Shutters
Motorised blinds
Tracks, rods, pelmets and accessories
Quote Calculation
Admin should be able to add/edit product prices
Calculate quote based on measurements, product type, fabric/material, labour, installation, accessories and margin
Add GST
Add discounts if required
Show total price clearly
PDF Quote Generation
Generate professional PDF quote with company logo and details
Include customer details, product details, measurements, price and terms
Option to email or download the quote
Central Storage / Admin Panel
All customers, measurements, photos and quotes stored in one central dashboard
Admin login and staff login
Ability to edit/update quotes later
Basic reporting/search/filter options
Mobile Friendly
Must work well on mobile/tablet for onsite measure and quote
Simple, clean and fast interface
Preferred Technology:
Open to suggestions. A web app is preferred so it can be accessed from mobile, tablet and desktop. We are also open to using platforms such as Airtable, Google Sheets, AppSheet, Glide, Bubble, Zoho Creator or a custom web app if cost-effective.
Important:
We need a practical and affordable solution first. It does not need to be overly complex in the first version, but it should be scalable for future improvements.
