I need a specialist to design and tune a rock-solid Wi-Fi environment that lets my automotive laptops, tablets, and dedicated diagnostic tools stay locked-in for real-time fault reading, reflashing, and live data streaming. At the moment I’m experiencing drop-outs and latency spikes that interrupt the software sessions, so your mission is to eliminate those issues and make the connection feel as stable as a cable. The shop layout includes multiple service bays plus a small parts office; walls are mostly metal, which is why I need a carefully planned AP layout, channel plan, and power settings. I’m open to enterprise-grade gear that is readily available in the US—Cisco, Aruba, UniFi, or similar—as long as the final plan is clear on part numbers, placement, and any licensing I should expect. Security and performance are equally critical. WPA3, separate VLANs for diagnostic equipment versus general browsing, QoS for the diagnostic traffic, and roaming that does not force the laptops to reconnect mid-scan all have to be factored in. Please also allow for firmware updates and remote troubleshooting without exposing the whole LAN. Deliverables I’d like to receive: • Heat-map-based layout of AP locations, power, and channel plan • Configuration guide (SSID settings, VLAN and QoS rules, security keys, fallback procedures) • Hardware bill of materials with US part numbers and links • Step-by-step deployment checklist and validation test plan I’ll consider the job complete when I can run a continuous real-time diagnostic session for at least two hours anywhere in the workshop without a single packet loss alert or noticeable lag.
