Project Description
We are SCOPSIS, a technology company based in Beirut, Lebanon. We work with manufacturing and FMCG companies across the MENA and GCC region connecting their factory systems, building data infrastructure, and deploying automation solutions on-site until results are delivered.
We are looking for freelance / contract engineers across 4 roles for active and upcoming projects:
Role 1 — Senior PLC / Automation Engineer
Lead engineer for industrial automation projects. Must have 5+ years hands-on Siemens S7-1500 programming in TIA Portal (V16/V17), proven FAT/SAT leadership experience, and knowledge of PROFINET, OPC UA, or Modbus TCP. Experience integrating PLCs with SAP or SCADA systems is required. Role involves on-site commissioning in KSA and GCC (2–3 weeks at a time). Based in Beirut.
Role 2 — Automation / Commissioning Engineer (Mid-level)
Execution engineer supporting the lead on PLC programming, HMI configuration, panel installation, and on-site commissioning. 2–4 years Siemens S7-1200/1500 experience in TIA Portal. Must be willing to spend extended periods on-site in KSA and GCC. Based in Beirut.
Role 3 — Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineer
Technical pre-sales role — own the full proposal cycle from client discovery to signed SOW. Must have 3+ years in industrial automation, proven experience writing technical proposals and BOQs end-to-end, and solid knowledge of Siemens automation stack and ERP integration concepts. GCC travel required. Based in Beirut.
Role 4 — SAP Integration Engineer (MII / PCo / PI)
Own the SAP side of shop-floor integration projects. Must have 5+ years SAP integration experience with hands-on SAP MII or PCo, ABAP working knowledge, and understanding of OPC UA and industrial protocols. Experience delivering end-to-end shop-floor-to-SAP projects is required. Full-time or senior contractor engagement. Based in Beirut with GCC travel.
All roles are project-based or full-time depending on fit. Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial and manufacturing environments and available for GCC travel.
