Because you chose “Residential” as your focus, that will be our priority, though if you happen to uncover commercial or industrial projects I’ll happily quote on those too.
How you reach prospects is up to you, but you indicated you’ll rely mainly on networking. Leverage your existing relationships with property owners, body corporates, estate agents, hardware suppliers, neighbourhood groups—any circle where renovation talk naturally comes up. No cold-calling scripts or rigid quotas; just genuine conversations that surface projects needing quotations.
For every qualified lead that results in a site visit, I pay a fixed fee the moment I step onto the property. When the client accepts our quote and the job is approved, you earn an additional, higher commission. Work completely remotely, set your own hours, and build income at the pace that suits you—there’s no hard deadline on results.
What I consider a qualified lead
• Homeowner’s name, phone number, email
• Location in greater Cape Town area
• Brief description of the renovation scope (rooms involved, rough budget, timing)
• Confirmation they expect a professional quote and agree to a site visit date
