Project Description
A complete move to ERPNext is scheduled for our contracting company in Abu Dhabi. The data to be migrated is modest—under 1 GB—but it sits inside Manager accounting software, so I’ll need you to handle the export, cleansing, and structured import into a fresh ERPNext instance.
Beyond the data work, the assignment covers a full, production-ready implementation:
• Install and configure the latest stable ERPNext on the hosting environment I’ll provide.
• Map and recreate our existing chart of accounts, cost centres, projects, suppliers, customers, and inventory items so reporting in ERPNext mirrors what we already see in Manager.
• Set up core modules—Accounting, Buying, Selling, Projects, HR, and Payroll—tuned for UAE tax and labour requirements.
• Define user roles and permissions for finance, project engineers, site supervisors, and management.
• Validate that migrated transactions (invoices, payments, expenses, journals) balance perfectly against closing trial balances from Manager.
• Train key staff via a short screen-share session and supply concise SOPs so everyday tasks are clear.
• Remain on hand for one month of post-go-live support to fix migration surprises or tweak settings.
Acceptance criteria: successful import with zero discrepancies in opening balances, all modules functional for day-to-day use, users able to post a complete sales-purchase-payment cycle without errors, and final sign-off from our finance manager.
If you’ve handled Manager-to-ERPNext moves before—or any accounting-app migration—let me know; real-world examples will speed up our decision.
