Project Description
I need a complete braced-wall plan prepared for a single-story residence that will be submitted to Yavapai County, Arizona. All design, notes, and detailing must conform to IRC 2018 Section R602.10 and reflect the local design parameters: 105 mph wind speed, Exposure B, 8 ft wall height with an 8 ft ceiling, roof peak at 15 ft 6 in, and continuous CS-WSP sheathing wrapping the entire building. Exterior walls are wood-framed.
I already have the full floor plan in digital format and will forward the DWG and PDF files as soon as we start. Your task is to overlay the required braced-wall lines, compute the necessary lengths, show required panel locations, note any hold-downs or strap requirements, and provide fastening schedules that satisfy Section R602.10 for the county reviewer.
Deliverable
• One ready-for-submittal PDF drawing (24 × 36 or 11 × 17, your choice) that can be printed without loss of scale and includes all code references, dimensions, and notes.
Acceptance criteria
Structural Engineer registered in Arizona, plan to be stamped with structural engineer stamp.
• Layout clearly identifies every braced-wall line, its calculated length, and the CS-WSP segments meeting or exceeding the minimum length required.
• Fastener schedules, anchor bolt spacing, and any uplift/hold-down hardware are called out on the sheet.
• Drawing carries my project information and a professional title block that the county will accept.
• Revisions (if any) responding to a first round of county comments are included in the price.
Please let me know your turnaround time and any additional information you will need from me once we begin.
