My long-running WordPress site (www.coredocuments.com) has been reskinned so many times that the codebase is now a patchwork of old themes, unused folders, conflicting plugins, and the occasional bit of malware. I want to start over on a brand-new server, yet preserve the public-facing look and feel that visitors already know.
Here’s the outcome I’m after: an exact visual clone—same theme, menus, page structure, and styling—but built from a clean, current WordPress install. The new build must migrate all website content, blog posts, media, and the SEO settings that rank us in search today. While most existing functionality stays, you’ll identify and remove problematic or duplicate plugins, suggest modern replacements where needed, and can add new features that improve speed or security.
I’m fine if you use WordPress.com’s Copy-a-Site tools, Claude-powered workflows, or your own migration scripts, as long as the final site is:
• Fully functional on a fresh server with no legacy files lurking in the directories
• Free of malware, broken links, orphaned tables, or deprecated code
• Ready for me to log in, publish, and update without seeing a single warning flag in the dashboard
