Project Description
Several of my e-commerce sites were handed back to me in a broken state after the last developer left. Pages may load, but the core booking and checkout journeys are unreliable: customers can’t complete a booking and I can’t create manual orders in the back-end. Broken links, random design glitches and occasional 500 errors are also showing up.
The immediate goal is simple—make every site fully functional for both shoppers and administrators—yet the work will probably start with a clean audit so we know exactly what was changed and what still complies with the original platform standards. Once the problem list is clear, each issue needs to be fixed, tested and documented so the same failure doesn’t resurface with the next update.
Please be comfortable digging into typical e-commerce stacks (PHP, JavaScript, theme overrides, plugins or apps) and ready to trace booking logic from the front-end all the way to the confirmation email. Speed matters, but a reliable, well-commented solution matters more.
Deliverables
1. Comprehensive bug audit with a clear, prioritised list
2. Code and configuration fixes that restore flawless booking and checkout
3. Cross-device QA report (desktop, tablet, mobile)
4. A brief hand-over note summarising the changes and any future maintenance steps
Acceptance Criteria
• Every booking can be completed end-to-end without errors
• Admin dashboard functions (order creation, refunds, edits) work as intended
• No 404s or console errors on the live sites
• All fixes survive a normal theme or plugin update
