Project Description
**Overview**
We are a structured professional trading group seeking an experienced developer to take full ownership of strategy development, testing, and deployment using StrategyQuant and MetaTrader 5. This is a long-term monthly engagement with a two-part compensation structure: a one-off setup fee for initial build and deployment, followed by a lighter ongoing retainer for monitoring and maintenance.
**Infrastructure**
- StrategyQuant professional licence is provided
- VPS already provisioned (Neura) — no setup required
- Active working group of programmers available for peer review and collaboration
**Scope of Work**
*Phase 1 — Build & Deploy*
- Develop, refine, and stress-test strategies in StrategyQuant across multiple styles (trend following, mean reversion, scalping)
- Ensure backtesting accuracy is rock-solid — live behaviour must match historical results
- Compile and deploy finished Expert Advisors to MT5 on the existing VPS
*Phase 2 — Ongoing (Light-Touch)*
- Weekly monitoring of live strategies, VPS stability, and execution quality
- Troubleshoot any production issues as they arise
- Incremental optimisation and new builds as directed by the trading group
**Requirements**
- Hands-on StrategyQuant workflow experience
- MT5 Expert Advisor development (MQL5)
- VPS administration and remote deployment
- Strong understanding of backtesting methodology and forward-test validation
**Compensation**
- One-off setup fee (negotiable based on initial strategy count)
- Fixed monthly retainer for ongoing monitoring and support
- Additional performance-based incentive tied to live trading results
