Project Description
I have an idea for a beginner-to-intermediate Kannada learning application that must run smoothly on both iOS and Android. The end product needs to feel playful enough for children, structured enough for students, and intuitive enough for busy adults, all while guiding users through reading, writing, speaking, and proper pronunciation.
What matters most is an engaging experience, so every screen should be colourful, distraction-free, and tap-friendly. Navigation has to be simple—no one gets lost, whether they start with the alphabet or jump straight into conversation drills. Progress tracking, bite-sized levels, and basic gamification (stars, badges, or a simple streak counter) are expected.
Core deliverables
• Interactive lessons that adapt to a learner’s pace
• Voice-recognition flow for pronunciation practice with real-time feedback
• Writing exercises that capture strokes or traced letters on-screen
You are free to choose native stacks or a unified framework such as Flutter or React Native as long as performance remains high on even modest devices. Please plan for:
• Clean, maintainable code (with comments)
• A lightweight, offline-friendly content system so lessons open instantly
• Simple admin hooks (CSV or JSON import is fine) for adding new words, audio clips, and quizzes
When you respond, outline your proposed tech stack, any similar language-learning or educational apps you have shipped, and a rough milestone schedule from prototype to App Store / Play Store submission. I’ll provide all lesson text, audio recordings, and artwork once the foundation is ready; you focus on architecture, feature implementation, and polishing the user experience.
Note: The interested freelancer/developer should be able to read, write, and speak Kannada fluently. Good knowledge of Kannada grammar, sentence formation, and pronunciation is highly preferred. Candidates from Karnataka or those with prior experience working on Kannada or regional language applications will be given preference. Familiarity with Kannada educational content creation is an added advantage.
