Project Description
I’m ready to move from idea to working prototype on a bespoke CCTV camera that will monitor activities in both indoor and outdoor settings. The core of the project is a smart, high-resolution unit that can automatically detect motion and capture crisp footage day or night. I’m looking for a robotics-minded engineer who can take full ownership of the electronics, mechanics, firmware and final assembly.
The camera must:
• Record in high resolution without compromise on frame rate
• Reliably trigger on motion events, with adjustable sensitivity to minimise false alarms
• Operate seamlessly in interior spaces and withstand typical outdoor weather with an appropriate housing and IP rating
What I will need from you:
• System architecture, detailed schematics, PCB layout and a clean bill of materials
• Firmware or embedded software that handles video capture, motion-detection logic and basic networking or storage options
• Mechanical CAD for the enclosure, including thermal and weather-proofing considerations
• One functional prototype (3-D printed or machined housing is fine at this stage) fully wired, flashed and ready for field testing
• Clear test results that demonstrate reliable motion detection and sharp video in both environments, plus all native design files so iterations are easy
If you already work with components such as Sony IMX sensors, NVIDIA Jetson, ESP32-CAM, open-source motion libraries or similar, let me know—your existing tool-chain could shorten development time. A short note about how you would approach the motion algorithm and outdoor sealing will help me choose the right partner.
I’m keen to begin as soon as you can outline milestones for design, fabrication and testing.
