Project Description
I run a civil-litigation law practice in Singapore focused on debt-recovery matters (vehicle hire purchase, vehicle rentals, business loans) and I’m looking for a virtual paralegal who can keep our growing caseload organized and our clients informed. You must be fluent in the English and Mandarin languages. Additional ability to speak Chinese dialects and Malay language is an advantage. Your primary role will be hands-on case management: maintaining and updating digital case files from intake through judgment enforcement, tracking every pleading, exhibit, and piece of correspondence so nothing slips through the cracks.
Equally important is proactive client communication and communication with defendants. You’ll draft concise status emails, follow up when documents are overdue, and alert me to any red flags that need immediate attention. Because these files move quickly, I need someone comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and documenting each touchpoint in whatever platform we’re using (we can adapt to the system you already know—Clio, MyCase, a shared cloud drive, etc.).
Deliverables
* Receiving client's instructions by email, generating Letter of Demand (LOD) using templates, generating Courts documents using Templates up to Judgment followed by Enforcement
* Following up with defendants via Whatsapp and email to persuade them to repay the debts owed
• Well-structured electronic case folders for each matter, updated in real time
• A running log of all client contacts and action items
• Weekly snapshot report for the Firm & Monthly Report for Client summarizing file progress and outstanding tasks
*Able to work with genera supervision
Accuracy, prompt action, confidentiality, and a clear written style are non-negotiable.
This is a trial project for one (1) month and may be extended month to month as required. Payment is a fixed sum monthly. Ideal for Malaysian trained lawyers or Malaysian litigation support staff.
