Project Description
I need a production-ready e-commerce site built from the ground up so I can start selling collectible action figures immediately. The project covers both frontend and backend, fully deployed and connected to secure payment and delivery services.
Design & UX
The look and feel must be cartoonish and playful to match the theme of the products—think bold colours, dynamic illustrations and subtle character animations that keep the shopping experience fun on desktop and mobile alike.
Core functionality
• Real-time product catalogue with search, filters, stock management and automatic SKU generation.
• Customer accounts, wish-lists, order history and e-mail notifications.
• Admin dashboard for adding/editing products, coupons and banners, plus sales analytics.
• Shipping calculator tied to a courier API so rates, labels and tracking numbers are generated automatically at checkout.
• Payments integrated exactly as I need them: Credit/Debit Card, Google Pay and Cash on Delivery (COD). Each option has to pass PCI-compliant processing and appear in a clean, single-page checkout flow.
• Responsive performance optimisation (Core Web Vitals) and basic SEO tags so the site is discoverable from day one.
Tech preference & deliverables
I’m open to popular modern stacks—React or Vue with Node, Django or Laravel on the backend, PostgreSQL or MongoDB for the database—as long as the codebase is well-structured, documented and version-controlled in Git. When you hand it over I expect:
1. Full source code in a private repository.
2. A one-click deployment script (Docker or CI/CD) and brief video walkthrough.
3. A testable staging URL plus assistance getting the live domain up.
4. Post-launch support for any critical bugs found within the first two weeks.
If you have prior e-commerce builds, especially toy or pop-culture themed sites, share the links when you apply and outline which stack you’d use and why.
