WordPress Transport Marketplace Development

Project Description: I have a WordPress website (lowpricetransport.com) that was converted from the WorkReap freelance marketplace theme into a transport/logistics quote platform. I want it to function exactly like www.shiply.com — a reverse auction transport marketplace. Customers should be able to post transport jobs, and verified carriers should submit private quotes that only the customer can see. The customer chooses a quote, and the platform handles secure escrow payments via Stripe Connect Express. I need an experienced WordPress developer (with strong experience in WorkReap or similar marketplace themes) to complete the following tasks: Required Tasks: • Taxonomy & Category Cleanup • Remove all default WorkReap freelance categories • Keep and tidy transport-specific categories/taxonomies • Custom Transport Job Posting Form • Build a user-friendly, mobile-responsive form with: • Pickup and dropoff address fields (with autocomplete) • Pickup and delivery date/time selectors • Vehicle / load type selector • Size and weight fields • Multiple photo uploads • Form must be clean, intuitive, and match Shiply’s style • Private Reverse-Auction Bidding System • Implement private bidding logic on top of WorkReap • Carriers cannot see other carriers’ quotes • Customer dashboard should show and rank bids by price (lowest first) • Carrier Verification System • Carriers upload insurance, license, and vehicle documents to secure storage • Manual admin approval queue in WordPress backend • Verified badge displayed on carrier profiles and quotes • Stripe Connect Express Integration • Carrier onboarding with Stripe Connect Express (KYC handled by Stripe) • Platform fee: 10% added on top of carrier quote (paid by customer) • Escrow Payment System • Customer pays platform upon accepting a quote • Funds held in escrow • Release funds when customer confirms delivery in dashboard • Auto-release fallback after X days (safety net) • Mobile Responsiveness & User Experience • Full mobile optimization across job posting, bidding, customer dashboard, and carrier dashboard • Review and improve overall responsiveness • Performance Optimization • Implement caching strategies • Image optimization • Plugin audit and cleanup to resolve slow load times • Theme Styling & Design Adjustments • Modify current theme to closer match Shiply.com’s clean, modern look and feel • Transactional Emails • Set up reliable email system (bid notifications, quote acceptance, escrow updates, delivery confirmations, etc.) that actually reach users’ inboxes Skills Required: • Strong WordPress + WorkReap theme experience (highly preferred) • Custom form development (ACF, Gravity Forms, or similar) • Stripe Connect Express integration experience • Escrow / marketplace payment logic • Performance optimization (caching, database, images) • Secure file upload and document handling • Clean, modern CSS/styling Please apply with relevant experience, especially any similar marketplace or transport/shipping platform projects you’ve built.
