I run a brick-and-mortar shop and now need a web presence that lets customers browse our physical products, place an order online, and choose in-store pick-up at checkout.
Core requirements
• A clean, searchable product catalog so shoppers can quickly find what they want.
• Customer reviews visible on each product page to build trust and boost sales.
• A simple inventory-management dashboard that keeps stock levels in sync with what is actually on the shelves, warning me when quantities run low.
The checkout flow should skip shipping calculations and clearly highlight the “Pick up in store” option as the default. Payment can be handled online or marked “pay on collection” — I’m open to whichever is easiest to implement securely. A mobile-responsive layout is essential, and I’d like the admin area documented so I can add new products or update stock without calling in a developer every time.
Please propose the platform you feel is best suited to these needs (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify, custom-built Laravel storefront, etc.) and outline any apps, plugins, or custom code you would use to handle the pick-up logic and inventory syncing.
