Project Description
I need a straightforward Next.js + Firebase web application that showcases tourism deals in Wayanad. The core of the site is a listings page focused exclusively on Resorts, with a simple Budget filter so visitors can quickly spot pocket-friendly stays.
Key functionality
• Mobile-first responsive layout that looks clean on phones, tablets, and desktop
• Image upload for each resort from the admin dashboard, stored on Firebase Storage
• Google Maps embedded on every listing to pinpoint the exact location
• One-tap WhatsApp button on both the card view and detail page so users can enquire instantly
• Admin dashboard (email / password auth is fine) to create, edit, hide, or delete resort entries, manage images, and toggle the Budget flag
• Basic category management kept minimal—only the single Resorts category is required for now
• No payment gateway, booking engine, or live chat; the goal is purely discovery and contact
Tech stack & structure
• Front end: Next.js (latest stable) with TypeScript if convenient
• Back end / data: Firebase Firestore + Firebase Storage + Firebase Auth
• Hosting: Vercel or Firebase Hosting—whichever you prefer, as long as deployment instructions are included
Deliverables
1. Source code in a private Git repository with clear commit history
2. Deployed production URL
3. README detailing environment setup, Firebase configuration, and how to add new resorts through the dashboard
4. Brief Loom or GIF walk-through showing the admin workflow and a user browsing by the Budget filter
Acceptance criteria
• Lighthouse mobile performance score ≥ 85
• Resort cards load images from Firebase Storage without broken links
• WhatsApp deep link opens correctly on Android, iOS, and desktop
• Admin actions reflect in Firestore instantly and trigger static regeneration or client re-fetch so the public listing stays fresh
