I want to put a simple, mobile-friendly classifieds platform online so everyone in my neighbourhood can buy or sell both products and services in one convenient place. The site must feel intuitive for non-technical users yet give me enough control on the back end to keep listings organised and spam-free.
Core functionality I need right away:
• User registration and personal profiles so neighbours can manage their own ads and build trust.
• Ad posting capabilities with photos, pricing, brief description fields and an option to mark items “sold” or “booked”.
• Smart search and filter tools that let visitors drill down by keyword, location and category.
Products, services and future categories should remain flexible. I’ll start with broad groupings such as “For Sale” and “Services” and then expand into typical home, professional or personal service sub-categories once the framework is in place.
Technical expectations:
– Clean, responsive design that loads quickly on phones.
– A straightforward admin dashboard where I can approve, edit or remove listings, feature selected ads and manage user accounts.
– Basic SEO setup, social-sharing buttons and an easy path for adding banner ads or paid-listing upgrades later.
– Well-commented code or clear CMS configuration notes so I can maintain the site after hand-over.
Deliverables:
1. Fully functioning live website on my hosting with all features above.
2. Admin credentials and a short walkthrough (video or PDF) showing daily management tasks.
3. Two weeks of post-launch bug support to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Once these items are delivered, I’ll verify that every user action—from sign-up to search—works flawlessly across desktop, tablet and mobile before closing the project.
