Project Description
VIRTUAL ASSISTANT — GOVERNMENT FUNDING APPLICATIONS
SIPOD Global Pty Ltd | Perth, WA | Remote | Immediate Start
WHO WE ARE
SIPOD Global is an Australian advanced manufacturing and sustainable construction technology company. We have developed a patent-pending technology that transforms WA mining waste into certified, high-performance building products at 73% lower carbon than conventional concrete — validated by Murdoch University. We are at a critical stage of commercial growth with an active government funding portfolio spanning over $40 million across multiple Commonwealth and WA State programmes.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced, highly capable Virtual Assistant to take ownership of our government funding application programme. You will work directly with our Founder and Director and be responsible for managing, submitting, tracking, and supporting government grant applications across multiple simultaneous funding streams.
This is not a routine admin role. You will be working on nationally significant applications involving ARENA, the National Reconstruction Fund, the AEA, the Industry Growth Program, the WA Market-Led Proposals process, and more.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
— Submit and manage active funding applications across Commonwealth and WA State portals
— Monitor all funding portals daily and manage all correspondence with funding bodies
— Research new and upcoming grant opportunities relevant to our technology
— Prepare first-draft application responses using our approved content library
— Track all deadlines — missing a deadline is not an option
— Coordinate with consortium partners including Curtin University and industry partners
— Maintain a master funding tracker and produce monthly pipeline reports
— Support preparation for ministerial and government stakeholder meetings
WHAT WE NEED
— Demonstrated experience with Australian government grant applications and portals
— Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
— Ability to read and interpret complex government grant guidelines
— Strong organisational skills — managing multiple simultaneous deadlines
— Self-directed and proactive — able to work independently with minimal supervision
— Available during Australian business hours for time-sensitive submissions
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
— Prior experience with ARENA, NRF, CRC-P, IGP, AEA, or similar programmes
— Understanding of sustainable construction, advanced manufacturing, or housing innovation
— Experience with university-industry research consortium applications
WHAT WE PROVIDE
We will give you a complete onboarding package from day one — all application documents are already prepared, all supporting materials are ready, and full briefing on our technology and commercial position is provided. You are not starting from scratch. You are taking over a well-organised, actively moving programme.
HOW TO APPLY
1. A brief cover letter — your relevant experience with Australian government funding and why this role suits you
2. Two examples of grant applications or funding submissions you have previously supported
3. Your availability, working arrangement preference, and hourly rate
A full Scope of Works document is attached — please read it before applying.
Applications assessed as received. We are looking to start immediately.
