Project Description
I’m finalising the permit set for a repair to residential home in Wisconsin and need a licensed structural engineer to prepare sealed drawings and accompanying load calculations for the wood rafter system. The roof framing is a straightforward, code-compliant (standard) design—no custom geometries or prefabricated trusses—yet the county will only release the permit once they receive engineer-stamped plans.
Scope of work
• Analyse dead, live, snow and wind loads per current Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code and ASCE 7.
• Size and specify all wood rafters, ridges, hips, valleys, collar ties and connections.
• Provide clear span tables or calculation sheets showing governing load combinations.
• Produce construction-ready drawings (PDF + DWG) stamped by a Wisconsin-registered Professional Engineer.
Acceptance will be based on:
1. PE stamp valid in Wisconsin.
2. Calculations matching loads listed above.
3. Drawings that a framing crew can follow without additional clarification.
If you can turn this around quickly while meeting those three criteria, let’s move forward.
