I have complete CAD drawings and dimensions for a bored tunnel and now need a precise dead-load analysis to confirm the current design. Your main task is to extract the required geometry from the CAD file, apply appropriate dead-load formulas for linings and surrounding ground, and document every step so the calculation chain is fully traceable. You may use any recognised international or national code; if you normally work to a specific standard, let me know and I will confirm acceptance. The key point is that the final numbers must be easy for a reviewer to audit and adapt later. Deliverables • A concise calculation note (PDF or Word) showing assumptions, equations, intermediate steps and final dead-load values for each tunnel segment. • An unlocked Excel workbook that recreates the numerical procedure, allowing me to adjust inputs (geometry, unit weights, safety factors) and instantly see updated results. • A short addendum highlighting any design implications you notice—overstressed sections, areas with generous capacity, or parameters that drive the results. The CAD file is ready to share as soon as we start. If you prefer AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD, PLAXIS or similar tools for quick cross-checks, feel free to integrate them, but the core calculations must still appear clearly in Excel. Turnaround is flexible within one week, yet please outline your expected timeline when you reply so I can schedule the subsequent design review.
