Project Description
We are the creators of Turbo Addons for Elementor – a plugin that offers 90+ widgets, a header & footer builder, and 200+ pre-designed templates for Elementor. We currently have a mixed pricing model: a robust free version and paid annual/lifetime plans for individuals, businesses, and agencies.
While our product is strong, our downloads and active installations are not growing at the desired pace. We need a human-led content strategy to change that.
What We’re Looking For
We want to hire a freelance content strategist who can:
Conduct a thorough audit of our current content (website, blog, social, email, listing on WordPress.org etc.) and provide actionable recommendations.
No AI-generated strategies. We need a plan based on real analysis, experience, and market understanding.
Deliverables
We expect the final output to include (but is not limited to):
Content Audit Report – An assessment of our current content’s strengths, weaknesses, and gaps, especially regarding competitor positioning.
Target Audience Personas – Detailed profiles of our ideal users (e.g., freelancers, agencies, DIY site owners) with their pain points and content consumption habits.
Competitive Analysis – A deep dive into how other successful Elementor add-on plugins approach content, and specific opportunities for Turbo Addons to stand out.
Topic & Keyword Strategy – A list of SEO-driven topics with high search volume and low competition, and a prioritised content plan to capture high-intent traffic.
Content Calendar (3 months) – A detailed schedule with specific content types (blog posts, tutorials, case studies, landing pages, email sequences, YouTube videos, etc.), including briefs for each piece.
Distribution & Promotion Plan – How to get each piece of content in front of the right people (SEO, social media, communities, partnerships).
KPIs & Measurement Framework – Specific metrics to track, along with a reporting template.
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience growing a WordPress plugin’s user base through content (please provide examples and, if possible, specific results).
Deep understanding of the Elementor ecosystem – including its audience, key add-on competitors, and what motivates users to try a new plugin.
Willingness to get hands-on – not just a high-level strategy document.
A clear “anti‑AI” stance – your proposal must explain how you approach strategy differently from an AI tool.
To be considered, please include in your proposal:
A brief summary of a past project where you grew a WordPress plugin’s downloads organically.
Two specific content ideas (just headlines or angles) for Turbo Addons, based on your initial review of our site.
Your estimated timeline and fixed price for this engagement.
Why This Is Important
We have tried generic marketing advice and AI-generated plans before – they don’t work for our niche. We need a human expert who can identify what makes Turbo Addons unique and craft a strategy that actually converts users.
If the initial engagement is successful, there is potential for a long-term collaboration to execute the content strategy (writing, editing, distribution).
