The project is a single-family, wood-framed barn-style residence of roughly 2,000 sq ft to be built in Missouri. I already know I want the look and feel to stay firmly in the rustic camp, and the interior must read as one generous, open floor plan. Everything that follows is about turning that vision into a fully buildable set of documents a local contractor can pick up and price immediately. Scope All drawings must comply with the latest International Residential Code and any Missouri amendments. Because the house will be stick-built, I expect typical U.S. wood-frame conventions—stud sizing, bracing, headers, shear, uplift, and all related detailing—shown clearly. Plans are to be prepared in a professional CAD platform (AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable) and delivered in both PDF for review and DWG for any future edits. Required deliverables • Dimensioned floor plans reflecting the open-plan arrangement • Roof, wall, and floor framing plans with member sizing and schedules • Building sections and enlarged details for critical junctions (foundation-to-wall, wall-to-roof, etc.) • Exterior elevations keyed to material notes that support the rustic aesthetic • Foundation plan sized for Missouri soil and climate • Code notes, general notes, and sheet index sufficient for permit submission • Title sheet stamped or signed by a licensed architect, engineer, or certified building designer (please include your license information and state of registration) To confirm fit, include at least one sample set of past construction drawings—full sheets, not marketing renderings—so I can see your detailing and notation style. Acceptance The job is complete when the drawing package passes my final review for completeness, aligns with the IRC, and is ready to hand directly to the builder and county permit office without further drafting.
