Project Description
My iPhone has been jail-broken and since then a few core apps won’t open, the OS stalls, and I can’t install or roll back updates through the usual paths. I need someone who understands the quirks of a jail-broken iOS environment to cleanly repair the software without forcing a complete data-wiping restore—unless that truly is the only route.
Your task is to diagnose what the jailbreak changed, patch or remove the conflicting tweaks, and leave the phone running the latest stable iOS version I can safely keep (whether re-jail-broken or back to stock). Remote assistance via Mac or Windows desktop tools is fine, but please specify ahead of time which utilities you plan to use so I can prepare.
Acceptance criteria
• Phone boots and operates normally, no spontaneous resprings or app crashes
• App Store, iCloud, and system updates function or an agreed-upon jailbreak alternative is in place
• A brief summary of what you adjusted and how to repeat or undo the process in the future
If you have handled similar iOS jailbreak repairs before, that experience will be invaluable here.
