Project Description
The goal is to create a full SolidWorks model of a semi-automatic machine that can pick, orient, and insert both springs and circlips, each in the 1–10 mm range, into our existing product line. I need every mechanical detail worked out so that the finished files can move straight into procurement and fabrication.
Key requirements
• Electric drive components only—no pneumatics or hydraulics.
• Reliable handling of tiny parts without deformation or loss.
• Quick-change tooling so the same station can switch between springs and circlips with minimal downtime.
• Compact footprint that will fit on a 900 mm × 800 mm bench space.
• Safety guards and service access designed in from the start.
Deliverables
• Fully-constrained SolidWorks 3D assembly with all sub-components.
• Exploded views, detail and section drawings ready for machining or laser cutting (DWG + PDF).
• Structured BOM with material specs and commercially available parts noted.
• Simple motion study or simulation showing the insertion cycle to verify clearances and timing.
• STEP export for collaboration with vendors.
I will provide sample parts, current fixture dimensions, and any brand preferences for motors and sensors as soon as we agree on the project. Your work is considered complete when the CAD opens error-free, the motion study runs without collision, and every fabricated part has a toleranced drawing.
Looking forward to a clean, production-ready design that makes assembly of these small springs and circlips effortless.
