Project Description
I need a custom Shopify theme built from the ground up for my street-inspired clothing label, Lazychunks. The single, overriding objective is to turn casual visitors into paying customers, so every design and technical decision should revolve around boosting conversions.
Key requirements and context
• Brand vibe: bold, laid-back, slightly rebellious—black, white and neon accents dominate our current assets.
• Interactive product displays are non-negotiable. Think hover-to-zoom, 360-spin, quick-view, or any other JavaScript-powered effect that helps shoppers explore fabric texture and fit without leaving the collection page.
• Mobile traffic makes up more than 70 % of our visits, so performance, thumb-friendly navigation and fast checkout flows matter just as much as desktop aesthetics.
• The theme must be built using standard Shopify stack—Liquid, JSON templates, CSS / SCSS and modern vanilla JS (or lightweight libraries). Please avoid heavyweight frameworks that bloat load times.
• I already have photography, logos and copy; you will plug them into the theme during handover so I can see a true-to-life store preview.
Deliverables
– Fully responsive Shopify theme (ZIP) ready for upload
– All section & block settings documented inside the theme editor for easy tweaking
– At least one reusable interactive product section I can drop onto any page
– Basic color and typography variables defined so future palette changes are simple
– A short Loom or PDF walkthrough that shows me how to enable/disable the interactive elements
Acceptance criteria
1. Google Lighthouse mobile performance score ≥ 85 on the sample catalog page.
2. Interactive product display works across modern Chrome, Safari, Firefox and mobile browsers.
3. Theme passes Shopify Theme Store validation (no console errors, W3C-compliant markup).
Timeline is flexible within reason; quality and conversion-centric UX come first. If you have prior examples of apparel stores where your theme helped lift sales, please mention the results when you respond.
