Project Description
We are seeking experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineers to review manufacturer datasheets and accurately extract or verify technical data using our secure, web-based platform. All work is performed inside our portal with detailed step-by-step instructions. This project does not require access to customer designs or schematics.
Make sure to answer these and put in your bids
1. What is the difference between a component's Absolute Maximum Ratings and Recommended Operating Conditions?
2. Decompose "LDO, 3.3V, 500mA, SOT-23-5" and explain each element.
3. Name the two signals on an I2C bus and describe their functions.
4. Are you bidding as an individual or a team? If a team, provide the number of members and technical background of each.
5. Confirm your availability for check-ins between 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Component Classification: Identify a component's primary function (e.g., LDO regulator vs. switching regulator, USB connector vs. pin header, MOSFET, MCU).
- Pinout and Signal Mapping: Read pinout diagrams to map electrical signals to physical pin numbers.
- Electrical Parameter Extraction: Locate key specifications from datasheet tables, including input voltage, capacitance, current ratings, Absolute Maximum Ratings, and Recommended Operating Conditions.
- Communication Bus Identification: Identify supported protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, HDMI, DDRx) and map associated clock and data signals.
- Digital Drive Characteristics: Extract VOH, VOL, VIH, and VIL values.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience reading datasheets for complex ICs (PMICs, MCUs, etc.), beyond passive components.
- Strong English proficiency for reading datasheets and team communication.
- Availability for management check-ins between 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
- Stable work environment with reliable internet access.
- Willingness to sign Confidentiality and Work Product Agreement and complete Operator Onboarding Packet.
- Ability to provide background checks if required at extended trial signing.
Preferred Candidate Background:
- Faculty appointments, EE industry experience, or component-level design work is highly valued, even if not reflected on Freelancer.com profile.
Engagement Structure (Paid Phases):
- Phase 1 – Trial (Approx. 1 week): Review 25 pre-selected components (~10 hours). Fixed-price contract funded via Freelancer.com milestone payments. Evaluates accuracy, efficiency, and platform navigation.
- Subsequent Phases: Scope determined by Phase 1 results and candidate caliber. Successful candidates may move to ongoing production work with rolling QA, targeting ~200+ hours per month at steady state.
Important: Generic or templated bids that do not address the screening questions or demonstrate relevant experience will be rejected.
