The project calls for a full-length political history book that traces major developments from 1948 right up to today. I want a clear, engaging historical account that weaves key events, policy shifts, and influential figures into a cohesive narrative that general readers can enjoy while still satisfying serious history enthusiasts.
Scope
• Length: roughly 60,000–80,000 words, but I am open to expert guidance on the ideal word count.
• Depth of research: primary documents, reputable secondary sources, interviews where feasible, and solid citation practice (Chicago or APA—your recommendation is welcome).
• Voice: accessible yet authoritative, avoiding academic jargon without sacrificing accuracy.
• Structure: chronological with thematic threads that tie regional and global perspectives together; introduction, well-paced chapters, conclusion, and a fully formatted bibliography.
Workflow & Milestones
1. Detailed chapter outline for approval.
2. First three sample chapters to confirm tone and direction.
3. Draft manuscript in two parts for feedback.
4. Final polished manuscript, fully referenced and proof-edited.
Acceptance criteria
• Original content that passes plagiarism checks.
• Fact-checked statements backed by verifiable sources.
• Smooth narrative flow and consistent style throughout.
• Complete bibliography and footnotes/endnotes as agreed.
Regular check-ins via Zoom or your preferred platform keep everything aligned. Manuscript delivery in Word or Google Docs is fine; please include any research spreadsheets or reference managers you use (Zotero, EndNote, etc.). Once completed and approved, all rights transfer to me.
