I’m re-imagining a small line of traditional Indian chikankari pieces and need a creative partner who can bring a fresh, contemporary touch while honoring the craft. The focus is strictly on two fronts: redesigning the embroidery patterns themselves and updating the overall color palette—no fabric changes for now.
For patterns, I want to move beyond the usual motifs and introduce cleaner, trend-forward ideas that still feel unmistakably chikankari. Think along the lines of streamlined reinterpretations of classic stitches, maybe a subtle nod to geometric or abstract styling if it complements the handwork, yet nothing that overwhelms the delicate needlework.
Color-wise, I’m committed to a palette of soft, modern pastels—muted peaches, dusty lilacs, sage, powder blues—tones that photograph beautifully and lend an instant “new-age heritage” vibe without losing elegance.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A concise mood board capturing the proposed pastel scheme.
• 4–6 digital pattern sketches (vector or high-resolution PSD/Procreate files) ready for embroidery digitization.
• One hero illustration mocked up on a kurta or saree template to visualize placement and scale.
