Project Description
I’m creating a playable prototype and need a small-scale, yet richly detailed urban neighbourhood built directly in Unreal Engine 5. Picture four to six interconnected city blocks with tight streets, alleyways, mixed-use buildings, rooftop access, parked cars, street furniture, graffiti and believable clutter—everything textured to a high standard so the scene feels alive up close.
Quality expectations
Every mesh should be Nanite-ready (or come with clean LODs), all materials fully PBR with 4 K textures, and lighting set up for Lumen. The goal is a consistent 60 fps on a mid-range PC (RTX 2060 class) at Epic settings. I’m not supplying base assets, so modelling, texturing and level dressing are part of the brief, though Marketplace or kit-bash assets are fine if their licences cover commercial use.
Scope & scale
• Area: roughly a neighbourhood—big enough to explore on foot without feeling empty, but compact enough to stay performant.
• Interaction: doors, elevators or other simple blueprint-driven elements that add life are welcome, provided they remain lightweight.
Deliverables
• Complete UE5 project/level with tidy folder structure
• Source meshes (.fbx), textures and material instances
• Short in-editor walk-through video showing lighting and collisions working
• One-page summary of external assets or plugins used with licence notes
Acceptance criteria
• Opens in UE 5.3+ with no warnings or missing references
• Average frame rate ≥ 60 fps at 1080p on stated hardware
• No visible lightmap artefacts or texture pops
• Nanite or LODs correctly assigned on every static mesh
When you reply, please share at least one link to a previous Unreal city or environment you built and your estimated turn-around time. I’m eager to get this world on its feet and ready to explore—let’s make something stunning together!
