Project Description
I need a clean, easy-to-use Excel workbook that my accountant can open and immediately reconcile. The sheet must contain the following columns in this order: Date, Customer Name, Amount, Category Expenses, and Category Income.
In both Category columns I want drop-down menus built with standard data-validation, so I (or anyone else) can quickly pick from predefined lists:
• Category Expenses: Gas, Subscriptions, Equipment, etc.
• Category Income: Service/Product Fee, Reimbursements, Bank Interest Earned, etc.
Please apply simple colour-coding to make those two columns pop: every cell in the Category Expenses column should show its text in red, while the Category Income column should appear in green. I am not tied to any other styling; the rest of the sheet may stay neutral so my tax guy can print or export without issues.
I have attached what I am currently using but want to upgrade. Please note I should be able to duplicate the sheet or extend the lists later without breaking anything.
