Project Description
I’m aiming to launch a WordPress site that echoes the clean, airy feel of Squarespace’s “Cedar” template while remaining fully responsive on phones, tablets, and desktops. The core of the site will be a regularly updated blog, so the post index, category pages, and single-post layouts all need to match Cedar’s spacious typography, generous white space, and subtle image reveals.
Visual direction
Cool, calming blues and greys should guide the palette. (#ffffff, #eaeaee, #8eb6dc, #1470af, #000000) Fonts should stay modern and readable, with plenty of breathing room to mirror Cedar’s relaxed vibe.
Functionality must-haves
• Client testimonials displayed elegantly (slider, grid, or minimalist quotes—whichever best suits the layout)
• A streamlined contact form with spam protection, styled to blend seamlessly with the theme
Technical approach
I’m happy for you to start from a lightweight base theme or build a child theme; either way, the finished product should be Gutenberg-friendly (Elementor is fine if you prefer). Please keep the code lean, use best-practice CSS for breakpoints, and test on the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and mobile browsers. I’ll also need clear instructions on how to add new blog posts, update testimonials, and adjust colors should I want to fine-tune them later.

On the Get Started page I do NOT need scheduling functionality. A simple contact page that allows site visitor to send a message will work.
