Project Description
I am spearheading a civil-engineering assignment centred on transportation engineering, with a clear objective: develop a new roadway from concept through to build-ready documentation. The corridor alignment is still flexible, but the end product must balance safety, capacity, drainage, and constructability while respecting any geometric standards that apply in your jurisdiction.
You will take the lead on the engineering side—turning a rough route idea into drawings and calculations I can submit for approvals and tender pricing. AutoCAD Civil 3D (or equivalent) for plans, profiles and cross-sections plus a concise technical report in PDF are essential so reviewers can trace every design decision. Pavement design should reference current AASHTO (or local) guidelines, and quantity take-offs need to be traceable back to your model.
Deliverables
• Preliminary route options with comparative notes
• Final horizontal & vertical alignment drawings (DWG + PDF)
• Typical cross-sections, pavement layer design and drainage provisions
• Design memo summarising standards applied, key assumptions, and results
• Bill of quantities with source tables linked to the design
Please confirm your relevant road-design experience, preferred software, and an estimated turnaround time.
