Project Description
When people type my name or my business into Google the first things they see are a handful of old, unwanted forum posts. They no longer represent who we are, yet they sit on page one and send the wrong message to prospects and partners.
I want those links buried well beyond the first page (ideally page three or lower) and replaced with content that paints an accurate, up-to-date picture of our work. I do not have any ready-made articles or reviews that can be promoted, so part of this assignment is helping me create fresh, authentic customer testimonials and then making sure they rank.
Scope of work
• Audit the current search landscape for my personal and company name.
• Devise and execute a suppression strategy to push the unwanted forum posts down. Typical tactics might include high-authority backlinks, on-page SEO, and social media amplification—use whatever proven SEO / ORM techniques you feel are best.
• Interview two or three of my clients (I will provide contact details) and craft polished customer testimonials in their voice.
• Publish those testimonials on platforms you recommend (my website, niche blogs, news aggregators, LinkedIn articles, etc.) and optimise them so they surface prominently in search.
• Provide a progress report every two weeks showing ranking movement and the appearance of the new positive assets.
Acceptance criteria
1. All identified negative forum links appear outside the first ten organic Google results for both my personal and company queries.
2. At least three new, indexable testimonial pages are live and ranking within the top ten.
3. A final report summarises actions taken, live URLs, and keyword position changes.
